Privacy Policy
His Way: What Jesus Would Do - Turtles & Dolphins LLC - Effective 26 September 2026
His Way answers questions about real situations in people's lives. A question is processed by His Way's server and passed through Replit's AI Integrations proxy to Anthropic to generate guidance. His Way does not write question or answer text to its own database, files, or logs.
This policy describes what the app processes, what its own server records, and which service providers are involved. Replit and Anthropic handle requests under their own policies; His Way does not make retention promises on their behalf.
The short version
- His Way's server handles question and answer text in memory and does not write it to its database, files, or logs. A question and chosen translation are sent through Replit's AI Integrations proxy to Anthropic; follow-ups also include earlier messages from that conversation.
- Operational logs include request timing, model and usage details, entitlement information, and detected crisis-category labels. They do not include the question or answer text. A crisis category may be associated with the account identifier.
- There is no advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics service in this app. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
- Saved answers live on your phone, not on our servers.
- A versioned AI-processing consent choice is stored locally for each account.
What we collect
Your account
Accounts are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Depending on how you sign in, Clerk holds your email address, or the private relay address Apple gives us if you chose "Hide My Email"; a user identifier; sign-in session records; and, for email sign-ups, your password credential. If you sign in with Apple, Apple may pass Clerk a name alongside the address. We do not ask for your phone number, your postal address, your date of birth, or your real name.
Your subscription
Subscriptions are sold by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your account identifier and your purchase and entitlement status so the app knows whether your subscription is active. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card number, billing address, or any payment detail.
The questions you ask
When you ask a question, the app sends it and your chosen Bible translation to His Way's server. The server forwards the request through Replit's AI Integrations proxy to Anthropic, which generates the answer. Follow-up requests include earlier messages in that conversation so the answer can use the context you already provided.
The model request contains the conversation and translation, not your Clerk account identifier. His Way's server handles the text in memory and does not write it to its own database, files, or logs. Replit and Anthropic process the request under their own policies; His Way does not make claims about their retention.
Operational records
To keep the service running and measure costs, our server records request timing, model, token usage, and resulting cost. It also records entitlement and routing metadata, including detected crisis-category labels when present; those events may include the account identifier. Standard web access logs contain the request method and path, response status, and duration. These records do not contain the question text or answer body.
To stop abuse, we keep a short list in memory of when recent requests were made, keyed to your account identifier or, if you are not signed in, your IP address. These entries are discarded within a day and are lost whenever our server restarts.
Gift codes
If you buy or redeem a gift, we store the code, whether it is monthly or annual, when it was redeemed, and the account identifiers of the person who gave it and the person who used it. No names, email addresses, questions, or answers are stored with it.
Crisis resources
The app watches for signs that someone may be in danger and, when it sees them, shows crisis support resources - including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and text-based services.
His Way's server examines the request text in memory to decide whether to return support resources. If crisis routing is triggered, the detected category and routing decision may be recorded with the account identifier, but the words that triggered it and the answer text are not written to His Way's database, files, or logs. Replit and Anthropic process requests under their own policies.
If you tap to call or text one of those services, your phone connects you to that organization directly. We are not part of that conversation, we are not told it happened, and we send them nothing about you.
His Way is not a crisis service, a counselor, or a medical provider. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
What is stored on your phone
The following is stored on your device. Some values, such as the selected translation and account authentication token, are also used when you make a request or sign in:
- Answers you choose to save, along with the situation you described
- Your Bible translation preference
- Your theme and any custom colors
- Your versioned AI-processing consent choice, scoped to your account on this device
- A sign-in token so you do not have to log in every time
You can delete saved guidance from Settings. Deleting your account clears the local answers, preferences, and consent choice after the server-side account deletion succeeds. Deleting the app removes its local app data.
Who else is involved
- Clerk - accounts and sign-in.
- Apple - Sign in with Apple, subscription billing, and the App Store.
- RevenueCat - subscription and entitlement status.
- Replit AI Integrations - forwards guidance requests to the AI provider.
- Anthropic - generates answers from the conversation and selected translation.
- Crisis support organizations - only if you choose to call or text them.
Each holds data under its own privacy policy. Our web landing page loads a QR-code library from a public code host to draw a link code in your browser; it receives no personal information.
There is no advertising network, analytics service, attribution SDK, or crash reporter in this app.
Deleting your account
Settings contains a Delete account option. It deletes your account and sign-in credentials with our authentication provider, removes the identifiers attached to any gift codes, and clears the saved answers and preferences on your device. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple, not us, controls subscription billing. If you want to stop being charged, cancel first in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions, then delete the account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal information held about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. His Way does not persist question or answer text in its own application storage, but its operational records can include account identifiers, usage metadata, and detected crisis categories. Replit and Anthropic handle request data under their own policies. For questions about information held by His Way, write to us at the address below.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Children
His Way is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, we will update the date at the top and note the change here. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
